I was on the list for the show under a mononym for some reason, but in that case, work! Address me as Rian now!

Anyway, behind the scenes, if anyone cares: I sat behind Mickey Boardman from PAPER and Lynn Yaeger was in my line of vision the entire show– always makes it hard to focus on shows because I revere her so much (duh) + she’s so cool and visually intriguing. 

But when I got past her stunning bob, I was able to focus on the following:

The vibe: Hot attendees, hotter music, everything felt like a carefully crafted labor of love, which is a great way to start the season, but I wish the work was futurist in aesthetic, not just theme?
